Jeremy Lai

Jeremy Lai has been at Beloved since 2012 after moving to Chicago for medical school. He grew up in a Taiwanese immigrant church in suburban Southern California but has experienced eye-opening diverse spiritual community and ministry since, which has led to significant wrestling with what it means to represent Jesus and pursue shalom. He has served in prior roles as community group leader, church photographer, and pastoral search committee member and believes in the unique mission of our church in the heart of Chicago seeking God’s kingdom.

Jeremy has since finished medical training and is an attending surgeon at Northwestern Medicine. Between work and running a lot so he can be constantly trying and eating more food, he enjoys sports, reading, and the shenanigans of friends and family.
