Alex

Alex Spiers was a full time worship pastor in Louisiana before moving to Chicago in the fall of 2017. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music and has been serving in various worship or discipleship roles since then.

Alex first came to serve in Chicago through the North American Mission Board in the summer of 2014. A program called “Generation Send” brought groups of college students to spend their summers in urban neighborhoods, laying the ground work for future church plants. During his time in Rogers Park, Alex felt the Lord calling him to serve in the city. He returned in the summer of 2015 to work with a church plant in South Chicago Heights after graduation.

He returned home to work at a local church in Monroe, LA. In this season, Alex got engaged and married to his beautiful and talented wife Alaina. They felt the Lord calling them to return to Chicago to pursue glory of God in the city and moved upon Alaina’s graduation from architecture school. They both currently work full time in the city and are excited to see what the future holds for COTB!

Alex enjoys hanging out with his family, making music, and playing video games in his spare time. If he is not at home doing one of those things, you can probably find him at the zoo!
