About Membership
We believe that becoming a member of a local church body is biblical. It is a commitment to a group of people – to hear God’s word preached together, to perform the ordinances Jesus gave to the church together, to love/exhort/admonish the body together. Above all, it is a commitment not only to receive, but to use your unique giftings to serve the body. (Hebrews 13:17;1 Cor. 5:1-13; 1 Cor. 12)
How do I become a member?
We're so excited you're interested in becoming a covenant member of our church!
To become a member at Church of the Beloved, you need to begin by attending a Membership Class. Membership Class is usually about 2-3 hours long, including a meal, and designed to help you get connected at our church, learn more about our history, our vision as a church, and the values that make us who we are. You'll have opportunities to ask questions, get to know our pastor and other leaders or staff, and meet other people from our church. The class is offered quarterly. You can register for an upcoming class here.
After you've attended the Membership Class, one of our leaders will schedule a brief meeting with you to give you an opportunity to ask any remaining questions and to review our membership covenant together. After that meeting, we'll schedule a date to induct you as a member.
